Exceptional candidates with interests in research andteaching in all areas of materials science and engineering will beconsidered. Candidates will be considered at the assistantprofessor level, but exceptional candidates at the associate orfull professor levels may be considered. Research areas ofparticular interest include: computational materials science;bio-related materials; advanced composites; additive manufacturing;energy-related materials; and environmental materialsscience.Minimum Qualificationscandidate must be professionally trained in materials science andengineering or a closely related field and hold a PhD from anaccredited institution at the time of employment. The candidateselected for this position must meet eligibility requirements towork in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduledto begin, and the candidate must continue working legally for theproposed term of employment.Desired QualificationsThe successful candidate will be expected to establish a strongindividual research program and participate in large-scale,multidisciplinary team efforts on-going in the program and theuniversity.
